The Last Juror

The Last Juror - John Grisham I really enjoyed this story. It was my first Grisham, and I expected it to be a plot-driven, fast-paced novel. It was not that at all, and I could not have been more thrilled with the direction the story took.It was, more than anything, just a slice of real Southern life. It was a story meant to be enjoyed on the front porch with a glass of iced tea. I was surprised by the ending (I don't mean the "whodunit" part, I mean the very last event of the story). But, I think it was a pretty good way to end Willie's story (and editing career)...a sad, nostalgic, yet strangely hopeful end.
