I really don't think I'm cut out to be a fan of Krentz. This is my second book of hers and I remain underwhelmed. Her stories are always a little odd and disconnected, and the characters and their lives are about as deep as a wading pool. There are never any real emotions involved, and I never felt more than a slight ping of interest in the outcome of this story. I scanned through the second half, just curious enough to see how it ended. I can't say I'd recommend it, and I don't think I'll be reading anything else of hers anytime soon.
