It took me a long time into reading this to decide that I did, in fact, like it enough to keep going to the end. I appreciated her original sentence structure and style of writing, and once I got started, realized that the point of the story was just to show how the family's life unfolded day to day...it was, overall, a pretty good read. I just couldn't shake the fact that I was at least half-bored throughout the whole book.
