Circus of the Damned - Laurell K. Hamilton It was too cold to be standing outside with my jacket half-unzipped. But if I zipped it all the way, I'd never get to my gun in time. Freeze my butt off, or be able to defend myself. The clowns on the roof had fangs. I decided it wasn't that cold after all.I'm happy to say that this was an improvement of the first two. I wasn't annoyed with repeating descriptions or dialogue again. For some reason, I still hesitate to give a 4 star rating. I can't put my finger on why exactly.Even the murders and the plot to overthrow Jean-Claude made for a better mystery then the previous two books. Anita is VERY bull headed, and I was annoyed with her a couple of times. It isn't really her fault she doesn't trust the undead...its my fault that I want her to jump Jean-Claude's Eric-Northman-like bones. Anyway, I'm very curious to see what happens next!
