Shadow Hills

Shadow Hills - Anastasia Hopcus When I first started the book, I was intrigued but wary. There were a few times I had my doubts - the dialogue was awkward and stilted sometimes. But by the time I finished, I was 100% hooked and I am now foaming at the mouth in anticipation of the sequel. This is going to be one fantastic series! The plot is so unique, the way Anastasia Hopcus is weaving the supernatural side of the story is very original and captivating. The way it is blended somehow with genetics and ancestry makes a great mystery and I can't wait to see what turn the series will take next.Phe is a fun and engaging character, whether she is with Zach and surrounded by relationship intensity or with her friends Toy and Adriana and consumed with girly things. Her part of the magical mystery the town is steeped in is not fully developed yet, and I can't wait to see what happens next with her character either! So, even though the book isn't perfect, this is a brilliant start to a series and I am absolutely going to be reading the sequel as soon as I can get my hands on it.
