The Scarlet Letter, a Romance

The Scarlet Letter - Nathaniel Hawthorne I read this ages ago in school for a book report, and I just glanced through it again, and I remember it better than I thought I would. It is a very sad story, and I do enjoy the plot. The funky symbolism and writing style are what knocks the rating down.I really do need to read it again one of these days, especially since I have a good friend who considers it one of her favorite books. She was the one who inspired me to pick it up, glance through it, and give it a rating.
